Bespoke Family Friendly Glamping in Clare, on The Wild Atlantic Way

Siobhan and Donncha, the gracious hosts of Castledarcy Glamping, have a serendipitous origin story. Once bar colleagues in bustling North Clare, their desire for a change sparked a conversation over breakfast in 2014. The site known as Castledarcy or The Lodge, with a history of welcoming generations of Callinans and O'Dwyers, lay in ruins. Siobhan's father, Tom Clair, remarked, "There has to be a living there for ye." Countless ideas were considered for the old site, but none seemed viable until a fortuitous knock on the door introduced Brid Conlon, a lifelong friend and neighbor. She proposed the idea of glamping, and everything clicked into place.

"Fast-forward 5 years of planning and financing, work began on site in January 2019. "Miraculous" Pat Clair, "Revved-Up" Denny Clair, Mikey "Dig" Flanagan and Paul "The Kid" O'Gorman started work on what would become Castledarcy Glamping. After floods and flus, síbíns and púicíns, it's July 2021 and we're ready to open."

It's time to prepare your belongings and embark on an unforgettable journey at Castledarcy Glamping.
